What a remodel really looks like

A remodel is not a finish job with a construction phase bolted on the front. It is demo, then trades, then finishes, and the whole thing lives or dies on whether somebody sequenced it before the first wall came down. That sequencing is what you are actually hiring us for.

• Do you remodel homes you did not build?
  Yes. Kitchen and bath remodels are their own line of work for us, not something we only do inside our own projects.
• How long will my kitchen be out of commission?
  It depends on cabinets, which are almost always the longest lead item on the job. We order those before demo starts so the room is not sitting torn apart waiting on a delivery. Ask us for a real date once we have seen the space, not before.
• Can you match what is already there?
  Usually, and sometimes we will tell you not to. Chasing a discontinued tile or a twenty year old cabinet line often costs more than replacing the whole run and still looks off when it is done.
• Do you handle the plumbing and electrical?
  Licensed trades do anything touching gas, water or wire, and we schedule and manage them. Moving a sink or a range is a bigger job than it looks, because it is a plumbing and electrical job first and a cabinet job second.
